DAY 35
Toad's Tea Party
My roommate wanted a picture of her tea pot and our house is very peach and hence is called Princess Peach. No unfortunately we do not have or frequently play mario cart.

One - A - Day

Alright here goes. I acquired an SLR from my cousin and friend, or frousin. I think its a ridiculously great thing to have and I am quite lucky to be its owner. I went to Peru over spring break for a service trip and took over 3,000 pictures in a week with it. This is a rather ridiculous amount. Yet I realized that when I had my camera with me it forced me to see and appreciate the world in a more conscious manner. This effort to find value in the world and all of its people, places, and things is something worth striving for. Recognizing this I have decided to take and upload one photo a day to facebook. It is a waste to have unnoticed and unappreciated beauty. Similarly, it is a waste to have a nice camera and not use it.

I am currently on day 34 and hope to begin uploading photos on here as well as on my flickr account.

A few highlights thus far:

DAY 1: Sunflower, somewhere on the way to madison.

It is wonderful when something just hits you and you happened to be in the right place at the right time to capture something. As if it was your purpose to show others.

DAY 10: Applied Arts building, landing on the stairs

"Nobody sees a flower, really, it is so small. We haven't time - and to see takes time like to have a friend takes time." - Georgia O'Keeffe

DAY 26: Madison, First time I saw my nephew...

If this ever happens to you bring a bucket and a mop because your heart is going to melt. Also learn how to press backspace when typing cheesy things.

DAY 30: Studio on Fire card. This studio never ceases to produce great work... and beards.

Hippocrit

Facts:
A hippo is large.
A cricket is small.
When you drop some letters and combine the words you get hippocrit.

This has nothing to do with anything except that I am really not big on following blogs for inspiration or being trendy on the web. I would rather go on a walk, talk to people, or read a book that has nothing to do with design. Yet, I am rather inspired by the design work of others.

It does not make sense to have a hippo and a cricket in the same being. Similarly it does not make sense to not be a blogger and be a blogger. But I'm doing it anyway. Maybe it's because I like hippos, crickets, and the occasional thought that doesn't make any sense.
